SANDRA MORGAN`S APPLE CRISP
Serves : 6-8 / Preparation Time : 30 Minutes / Cooking Time : 25 - 30 Minutes
INGREDIENTS
- 8–10 cups granny smith apples

1/2 cup sugar

1 cup packed dark brown sugar
- 1/2 cup softened butter
- 1 cup all purpose flour
- 1 cup old fashioned oats
- 3/4 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1 teaspoon salt
DIRECTIONS
- Preheat oven to 350°
- Peel, core and cut apples into chunks. Place apples in a buttered baking dish no larger than 9 x 13
- Using a handheld or stand mixer beat the butter on high speed in a mixing bowl until creamy (about 2mins)
- In a large mixing bowl mis together all the ingredients until crumbly. I like to use two forks to make the mixing easier. Sprinkle the crumble evenly over the apples
- Bake 40–45 minutes
- Serve with whipped cream or ice cream and enjoy
