SANDRA MORGAN`S APPLE CRISP

RECIPE

Sandra Morgan`s apple crisp cake
Serves : 6-8 / Preparation Time : 30 Minutes / Cooking Time : 25 - 30 Minutes

INGREDIENTS

  • 8–10 cups granny smith apples
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 cup packed dark brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup softened butter
  • 1 cup all purpose flour
  • 1 cup old fashioned oats
  • 3/4 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon salt

DIRECTIONS

  1. Preheat oven to 350°
  2. Peel, core and cut apples into chunks. Place apples in a buttered baking dish no larger than 9 x 13
  3. Using a handheld or stand mixer beat the butter on high speed in a mixing bowl until creamy (about 2mins)
  4. In a large mixing bowl mis together all the ingredients until crumbly. I like to use two forks to make the mixing easier. Sprinkle the crumble evenly over the apples
  5. Bake 40–45 minutes
  6. Serve with whipped cream or ice cream and enjoy
