RECIPE

Serves: 4-6 / Preparation Time: 30 Minutes / Cooking Time: 25-30 Minutes

LEMON GROVE LANE CHOCOLATE MERINGUE WITH CREAM

INGREDIENTS

  • 3 eggs
  • Cream of tartar
  • Sugar
  • Salt
  • Unsweetened coco powder
  • Heavy Whipping cream
  • Bittersweet chocolate chips
  • Honey
  • Baking sheet
  • Parchment paper

DIRECTIONS

  1. Preheat oven to 275°F
  2. Line 2 baking sheets with parchment paper
  3. Whip egg whites until medium peaks form
  4. Add salt and whip while adding the cream of tartar and then slowly add the sugar
  5. Continue whipping until egg white peaks are stiff and glossy
  6. Gently fold in cocoa powder and then spoon your meringue on to the baking sheets Make sure to place baking sheets in the center of the oven
  7. Bake for about 30 minutes and then turn the heat off, open the door slightly and allow to sit in the oven for 15-20 minutes
  8. Add a dollop of cream and drizzle with chocolate sauce 9. Best served immediately
